Your trip will start from Chiang Mai which is a mountain region of north of Thailand, and one of the oldest city of Thailand. Here you will be experiencing the unique culture, natural and man-made wonders and know about history of the region. Visit important places like Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep, Wat Chedi Luang, Chiang Mai old town, Wat Phra Singh, Elephant Sanctuary, go for White Water Rafting Adventure, Chiang Saen border town, local market in Laos’s territory, visit Hall of Opium and Wat Pak Sak.

Next head to Bangkok City, enjoy a tour of the visit, visit Temples and Royal Grand Palace Tour, gor for Canal tour with visit to Arun Temple, join Cooking Class at Blue Elephant Thai Cooking School, and Damnern Saduak Floating Market.

From Bangkok, you will continue your journey towards Cambodia, where you will visit the beautiful places like the Angkor Wat, Ta Prohm, Angkor Thom, Kampong Khleang fishing village and Beng Mealea temple.

Itinerary Details

Day 01 :CHIANG MAI ARRIVAL

Upon arrival in Chiang Mai, you will be welcomed, picked up by the tour guide and driver and transferred to your hotel. Check-in into your hotel and freshen, enjoy the rest of the day at your own leisure.

 

Day 02 : HALF DAY CITY & TEMPLE TOUR [B]

After having your breakfast, you will be greeted by our guide who will come to pick you up from your hotel and take you to visit Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep, which is famous for the statue of the seven headed snake, it lines all the 306 stairs present.  The temple complex has a museum and souvenir shop, where you can walk around and have a look.

 

Next head to Wat Chedi Luang, which is famous for the largest stupa (known as chedi), overlooking the city. However the origin height of the stupa was reduced due to an earthquake in 1545. This temple was also the original home of the Emerald Buddha, which was later taken to Bangkok, what now a stand is a replica.

 

Later, visit the Wat Phra Singh temple, Lai Kam chapel houses and before day breaks enjoy exploring the Old Town of Chiang Mai on trishaws. 

 

Return to your hotel, and enjoy a comfortable overnight stay.

 

Day 03 : SMILE ELEPHANT SANCTUARY & WHITE WATER RAFTING ADVENTURE [B, L]

After having your breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel for a visit to the Smile Elephant Sanctuary which will take around 1.5 hours. To reach the Smile Elephant Sanctuary, you will be able to enjoy a drive through beautiful countryside, forest, and local farming areas. 

 

When you arrive at the Smile Elephant Sanctuary, you will have to change into traditional clothes. Here you can enjoy activities like feeding the elephants, bathing and brushing them, interacting with them, play with them, learn about their habits and observe them in their natural habitat. Indulge in making herb balls, takes photos with the elephants and walk along with them as well. 

 

Enjoy eating delicious seasonal fruits and in the afternoon, savor a mouth-watering Thai meal which is included in your package. 

 

This conservation park is situated near Mae Taeng River, which adds to the attraction of the region. Tourists can engage in Whitewater Rafting Adventure Activity, will take around 40 minutes along the Mae Taeng River (which stretches for 5 km).

 

Before night falls, you will be driven back to your hotel in Chiang Mai city, enjoy a comfortable sleep.

Day 04 : COOKING CLASS AT MAMA & THAI TRADITIONAL MASSAGE AT FAH LANA SPA & MASSAGE [B]

Wake up early in the morning, have your breakfast, and head to enjoy a Thai cooking class at Mama. You will be picked up from your hotel and dropped for your class to learn cooking Thai food. In the afternoon have a delicious lunch provided at the Cooking Class at Mama.

 

Later, you will be taken to enjoy a pampering session at Fah Lana Spa & Massage to enjoy a Thai traditional massage, for around one-hour. Before day breaks, you will be driven back to your hotel.

Day 05 : CHIANG MAI LEISURE DAY [B]

This day is kept vacant, so that you will be able to spend the day at your own leisure.

Day 06 :CHIANG MAI - CHIANG RAI [B]

Early in the morning after having your breakfast, you will have to check-out from your hotel in Chiang Mai. You will be greeted by our guide who will drive you to Chiang Rai from Chiang Mai.  

 

Arrive in Chiang Rai, check-in into your hotel. Later you will visit the Wat Rong Khun (White Temple) and Wat Rong Sua Ten (Blue Temple). Return back to your hotel in Chiang Rai and enjoy your stay.

Day 07 :CHIANG RAI [B, L]

After having your breakfast, go on board for a full-day Golden Triangle Tour, a van will come to pick you up from your hotel to drop you at Chiang Saen border town, located along the Mekhong river. Here, enjoy a boat ride to the local market in Laos’s territory. Later, visit the Hall of Opium and Wat Pak Sak (one of the oldest temple of the region).

 

Note: Transfer only, No guide included

 

Enjoy your dinner at the Chivit Dhammada Riverside restaurant. Return back to your hotel in Chiang Rai for the overnight stay.

Day 08 :CHIANG RAI LEISURE DAY [B]

This day is kept vacant, so that you will be able to spend the day at your own leisure in Chiang Rai.

Day 09 :CHIANG RAI - BANGKOK [B]

After having your breakfast, check-out from your hotel and head towards the airport to fly back to Bangkok.

 

After arriving in Bangkok, you will be picked up by our driver and dropped at your hotel in Bangkok. Check-in into your hotel and rest for the day.

 

In the evening, you will be picked from your hotel by a tuk-tuk for food tour to Yowarat China Town to enjoy a delicious dinner. Return to your hotel and enjoy a comfortable stay.

Day 10 : BANGKOK [B, L]

Bangkok City/Temples & Royal Grand Palace Tour & Canal tour with visit Arun Temple

 

Have your breakfast and get ready to explore Bangkok, our guide will pick you up from your hotel enjoy a visit to the Reclining Buddha at Wat Pho, which is a giant Buddha covered in gold leaf in the lying position.

 

Next have a tour of the Grand Palace, which was the former residence of the king of Thailand, from King Rama I to King Rama V. It has many buildings, courtyards, gardens, halls, and temples. Within the complex of Grand Palace is the Wat Phra Kaew temple which comprises of a meditating Buddha made of Green Emerald. Located right beside the Grand Palace is the Bangkok National Museum, enlightens you with the history of Thailand. The museum has a collection of remarkable artifacts, Thai art and objects.

Enjoy your lunch at a restaurant and continue your canal tour travel on Chao Phraya River of Thonburi and visit the Wat Arun temple. This iconic river flows right beside the Grand Palac and the Wat Arun temple.

 

By evening you will be transferred back to your hotel.

Day 11 : BANGKOK [B]

Cooking Class at Blue Elephant Thai Cooking School (join-in)

After having your breakfast, at around 8.00 AM to 9.00 AM, you will be picked up from your hotel in Bangkok city to join the cooking class at Blue Elephant Thai Cooking School. Take cooking lessons from the experts and cook like a professional Thai Chef, you will be taught to prepare around 4-5 Thai recipes in a day. The great news is that, you will receive a culinary certificate.

 

Return back to your hotel, you can spend the rest of the day at your own leisure.

Day 12 : BANGKOK [B]

Half day Damnern Saduak Floating Market

Early in the morning after having your breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel for a half-day tour to Damnern Saduak Floating Market, one of the must-visit floating markets near Bangkok. One can enjoy thrilling boat ride through the canals of the floating market village, and visit the temple complex located inside the floating market. You will be able to see the locally produced organic vegetables, you cannot find anywhere else. Here, enjoy a boat ride, visit the temple inside the market, enjoy shopping and try the local cuisines sold here. 

 

Return back to your hotel in Bangkok, you can spend the rest of the day at your own leisure.

Day 13 :BANGKOK - FLIGHT TO SIEM REAP [B]

In the morning check-out from your hotel and head towards the airport for your flight from Bangkok to Siem Reap, Cambodia. On arriving in Siem Reap, you will be picked up from the airport and dropped at the hotel. Check-in into your room and spend the rest of the day at your own leisure.

Day 14 : VISIT ANGKOR WAT - TA PROHM - ANGKOR THOM FULL DAY [B, L]

You will be picked up from your hotel you to visit the famous ancient Angkor temples. Your trip will start from Angkor Wat temple which is the most famous temple around the world and the complex comprises of many temples. The highlight of the Angkor Wat temple is that it is a three-tiered structure, crowned with five lotus-like towers, standing around 65 meters above the ground.

 

Next head to Angkor Thom, which is an ancient walled city, built in the 12th century and is one of the stunning wonders. It is the last capital of the Great Khmer Empire under the rule of Jayavarman VII. Inside this ancient walled city, the main highlights are the Baphuon (the royal enclosure), Bayon Temple, and the Terraces of the Elephants and the Leper King. 

 

In the afternoon, your lunch will be arranged in a local restaurant, enjoy savoring the delicious local cuisines.

 

Continue exploring the region, visit the Ta Prohm Temple, it looks like a temple which has been rediscovered like in the famous treasure hunt movies, as the temple is perched in between the maze of trees, which has grown out of the ruins. Wander around this temple and know about its history.

 

Before day breaks, return to your hotel, you can spend the rest of the day at your own leisure, simply relaxing after the day’s exploration.

 

Important Note: To visit the temples, you have to wear proper covered attire, from head to toe. While entering the temples, you have to remove your shoes. Do know that if you wear revealing clothes you will not be allowed to enter the temple grounds.

Day 15 : EXPLORE KAMPONG KHLEANG AND BENG MEALEA TEMPLE FULL DAY [B, L]

Have your breakfast and get reading to visit the Kampong Kleang floating village and Beng Mealea temple. You will be picked up from your hotel and drive to the Kampong Kleang floating village, which is built on stilt-houses and around 20,000 people live here. The houses can tower up to ten meters high above the waters. Here you will be able to have a glimpse of the lifestyle of the local countryside people, culture and tradition, occupation, and their daily activities. Have your lunch at one of the local restaurants, built on stilt-houses.

 

By noon, you will be transferred back to the land to visit the Beng Mealea temple. To reach the temple you will have to opt for a short walk through the dense jungle, which adds to the excitement, making you feel like an explorer. This temple remained undiscovered for centuries as it is located amidst dense forests, and trees and bushes have overgrown. What you can see now are the ruins of the temple that will give you a feeling of discovering of a lost site.

 

Note: During the months from February to August/September, the water level in the Tonle Sap Lake is very low, hence to reach the Kampong Kleang floating village, the lake gets muddy and the boats might get stuck. So, tourists who are eager to visit a floating village, the location might be changed to Chong Kneas floating village, where boat trip is better during these months.

Day 16 :SIEM REAP DEPARTURE [B]

Your tour ends, if you have enough time you can explore Siem Reap, or enjoy shopping, before heading to Siem Reap-Angkor International Airport and catching your flight for your return to your home country.
